DEKRA is accredited to perform inspections of amusement centres under Swedish National Police Board regulations. The inspections include equipment placement, steel structures, safety devices, test equipment and test running of the equipment. And to ensure that the material is not suffering from fatigue, or has dangerous cracks, we conduct periodic reviews which include non-destructive testing NDT.

Safety is important even in the field of theatre and arenas. It is often the case that an actor or musician has to perform a stage flight, something that everyone who has seen 'The Snowman' walking in the air will know. In this context, we assist with advice on how to execute the stage flight in a safe manner. We also inspect the movable stage floor, lift tables and trapdoors as well as helping with safety concerning the platforms, stage docks and podiums.

In collaboration with the Swedish Bowling Alley Association (Sveriges Bowlinghallars Förbund), DEKRA has initiated a project to conduct inspections and risk analysis of bowling facilities. Work has been undertaken in response to the Swedish Work Environment Authority conducting inspections, as part of a collaborative project within the EU, to improve equipment safety at the facilities.

DEKRA also inspects cable cars, which are erected in connection with a range of events, and ski-lifts. Inspections are conducted in accordance with the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's mandatory provisions and include initial inspection, periodic inspection and audit inspection following substantial change or reconstruction. Water slides and refrigeration plants for ice rinks are also items of equipment that are covered by us.
