Infrastructure

We inspect the manufacture of bridge segments and audit companies that perform non-destructive testing - NDT - of bridge segments. We also conduct non-destructive testing on bridges, as well as assembly and manufacturing inspections. And we inspect different types of equipment that are used on bridges, such as inspection trolleys on the Öresund Bridge.

Railways

We are a flexible and integral part of the customer's maintenance operations and conduct NDT on wheels, axles and bogies on the X2000 high-speed train, for example. We have also developed special equipment for this type of vtesting. DEKRA is also the Notified Body for the inspection of railway systems. This means that we check to ensure that the railway system, with its tracks, tunnels, platforms and signals observes the European regulatory framework.

Cars and trucks

We conduct inspections of lifting devices and pressure vessels for the automotive industry. We also give advice relating to CE Marking, the Machinery Directive, and more. Car manufacturers use us for voluntary inspections and monitoring as well as for delivery inspection and quality assurance following deliveries of machines for production. DEKRA also supports the automotive industry with non-destructive testing of components. We are accredited for the inspection of tanks and lifting devices and carry out inspections of commercial vehicles such as excavators. From 2011, DEKRA will be inspecting automotive vehicles. Aircraft

DEKRA performs NDT of components for aircraft engines. DEKRA also has a special line for penetrant testing of aircraft components to detect cracks or other defects.

Vessels

Our inspectors and test engineers conduct document control, assembly inspection, NDT of hull structures, thickness measurement of hulls, painting inspection and more.
