Manufacturing and engineering

Companies that manufacture products in a workshop must observe a number of laws and regulations. We know all about the standards and regulations that apply to manufacturing.

DEKRA assists in matters relating to manufacturing and inspection. This could range from enquiries in connection with procurements to issues concerning: standards, regulations, classifications of products, risk analysis, design, materials, welding, heat treatment, non-destructive testing, destructive testing, documentation for manufacturing and CE marking.

DEKRA is a Notified Body for ATEX, PED, TPED, MD and the Lift Directive. We conduct all types of third-party inspections in manufacturing such as design, manufacture and final inspection.  DEKRA is an accredited inspection body relating to Swedish regulations from the Swedish Work Environment Authority. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap) the Swedish Board of Housing, Building and Planning (Boverket), the Swedish National Police Board (Rikspolisstyrelsen), the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket). 

We are here to answer questions about the inspection of doors, lifts, pressure equipment, steel structures or regular inspections of installations. And we provide services such as assembly inspection, initial inspection, periodic inspection, audit inspection, drawing up explosion protection documents, and more.
