Industries

Our business started over 100 years ago with the aim of preventing accidents through regular inspections of boilers and pressure vessels. Since these are used in many applications, we soon gained experience in a variety of industries.

We have taken advantage of this experience by organising ourselves into industrial fields. Companies in the same industry often experience similar problems, as they produce their goods and services in a similar way, and they are governed by the same laws and regulations.

Industry classification is based on various criteria such as ownership, operational responsibility, what is being produced or some other logical connection. Therefore, a range of technical systems such as thermal power, hydro power and wind power have been grouped in the same industry – Energy.

Each classification into industries also means that some activities may be a bit difficult to categorise.
